2009 Power Plant Simulation Concerence Call for Papers

The 2009 Power Plant Simulation Conference (PowerPlantSim '09) is an annual conference sponsored by The Society for Modeling and Simulation International. Performance Consulting Services (PCS), A Division of General Physics, is pleased to coordinate the fossil track of the Power Plant Simulation Conference again in 2009. The conference will take place February 8-13, 2009 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Performance Consulting Services, Inc. is pleased to coordinate the fossil track of the PowerPlant Simulation Conference again in 2008. The fossil track of the conference will be chaired by Erica Finley, manager-training services.

Simulator training personnel, training managers, simulator trainers, or anyone with an interest in fossil power plant simulators or those who develop or use simulation tools are invited to participate and present original papers/presentations. Topics covered may include simulator training, capabilities, technologies, models, scenarios, and much more.

This conference will include presentations by technology and industry leaders, technical sessions, panel discussions, roundtable discussions and vendor exhibits.

The deadline for presentation title submittal is October 30, 2008. Utility presentations and vendors co-presenting with utility presentations will be given first priority. All submittals will be reviewed and considered. Please submit your suggested presentation title to Tara Stuart at tstuart@gpworldwide.com.

The conference will take place February 8-13, 2009 at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, SC. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Francis Marion Hotel at a rate of $139 per room. Please mention the SCS Power Plant Simulation Conference when booking your room.

Watch for registration information to be posted at www.scs.org. The draft agenda should be posted in late October/early November.
