EtaPRO
GP Energy Services provides the people, processes, and technology to improve your
generation fleet's efficiency, capacity, and availability. We use our workforce
development technology and performance engineering expertise in collaboration with
plant staffs. Our EtaPRO Performance Monitoring and Optimization System helps you
improve the performance and profitability of your Rankine cycle or combined cycle
power generation plant.
Plant Health Monitoring Services
The PCS/General Physics monitoring center is staffed with a team of expert plant performance engineers
with a wide range of experience in identifying, diagnosing and quantifying plant
efficiency, capacity, and equipment problems using state-of-the-art technology.
Equipment Condition Monitoring (eCM)
Members of our PCS/General Physics staff can provide eCM software combined with installation, modeling,
remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and analysis of data captured.
Combustion Optimization

Power Plant Performance Assessments
A plant can typically see an immediate heat rate improvement of $1 million/ year
or a 50 Btu/kWh decrease just from the controllable losses improvements brought
forth from the Assessment. The Assessment can also bring forward non-controllable
losses' heat rate improvement suggestions.
Instrument Assessments
PCS/General Physics staff members have extensive experience in the evaluation, selection and procurement
of instrumentation for ASME quality performance tests and for permanent installation
in the plant. PCS/General Physics can evaluate your instrumentation and provide recommendations
for enhancement and augmentation of plant equipment.
Plant Modeling
Models can be developed of various complexities, from simple models of turbine sections
or a condenser, to complete turbine cycles, to detailed models containing boiler,
turbine, condenser, feedwater heaters, and cooling tower for a conventional plant,
or a combined cycle plant model that includes combustion turbines, HRSGs, steam
turbine, condenser, pumps, and cooling tower. Well-developed models can provide
very accurate modeling of plant performance.

and advanced knowledge of power plant heat transfer and thermodynamics to trouble
