Simulator Acceptance Testing

PCS can work with your personnel or independently to provide several types of acceptance testing options for your simulator project to ensure a successful simulator acquisition project.

  • Pre-integration Systems Testing
We work with your personnel to determine the acceptance criteria for each system and system component that is being modeled and the depth that it is being modeled. We then design and develop a plan to test these criteria on the simulator to insure that each system is accurately modeled to the specifications defined in the simulator specification.
  • Factory Acceptance Testing
We work with your personnel to develop the Factory Acceptance Test Plan and the acceptance criteria documented in the plan. The data for the plan comes from the detailed simulator specification. PCS has the capability of developing specifications such as this. Typically the Factory Acceptance Test Plan uses predefined scenarios (similar to the ones that your operators will be trained with) to exercise the simulator in the Normal Operations realm and the Transient Operation realm. This includes miss-operations of equipment that tests the models first principles capabilities.
  • Site Acceptance Testing
We work with your personnel to develop the Site Acceptance Test Plan and the acceptance criteria documented in the plan. This ensures that any Discrepancy Reports (DRs) that were not corrected during Factory Acceptance Testing have been corrected by the time of installation at your simulator site and that the simulator is ready to start training.
