Training Needs Analysis

PCS will gather data and provide a report outlining the strengths and weaknesses of your workforce. An analysis will be done to determine training solutions to fill the gap between what currently exists at the facility and the facility goals.

A Training Needs Analysis can include:

  • Administrative Analysis
    • Determines the reason for the development and implementation of a training program
    • Clearly defines training goals
    • Specifies time in which the training can be performed
    • Identifies critical start and end dates
    • Defines the business goals that must be satisfied for the program to be defined as successful
  • Job and Task Analysis
    • Job descriptions
    • Questionnaires and surveys
    • Interviews
    • Procedure analysis
    • Observation
    • Critical Task Analysis
  • Training Analysis (Resource Analysis)
    • Identify resources for development, implementation and evaluation of the training program.
    • Determine training facilities and training aid capabilities.
    • Decide what tasks will be included in the training program.
    • The above can help define the required training program.

The training analysis is both a data gathering and a data developing effort. The data gathered will be used to identify and define plant specific training needs.
